Establish the Work
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us. Establish the work of our hands.”
Psalm 90:17
Psalm 90 holds human work beside the permanence of God. Our days are limited. Our efforts can feel fragile. Moses asks God to establish the work, giving it weight and endurance beyond the moment.
A quick fix may relieve pressure while leaving the pattern untouched. Lasting solutions address the conditions that keep producing the problem. They include clear ownership, realistic routines, needed resources, and a way to notice when the plan begins slipping.
Sustainability also requires attention to capacity. A solution that depends on constant exhaustion will eventually fail. Good work respects human limits and creates room for rest, accountability, learning, and repair.
Ask God to establish what is worth carrying forward. Review the solution beneath the surface. What supports it? Who owns it? How will it continue during stress or change? The work of our hands becomes steadier when it is built with humility, structure, and dependence on God.
Good work needs roots deep enough to remain.
