Coping
Bring the Request
“In every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Philippians 4:6
Worry repeats the same concern without giving it anywhere to rest. Prayer turns that circling fear into a request. Paul invites us to bring the actual matter to God, with all its names, faces, deadlines, and uncertainty.
This verse was written from prison. Paul was familiar with real danger and limited control. His words do not shame an anxious heart. They show it where to go. Petition means we can ask plainly. Thanksgiving reminds us that the God receiving the request has been faithful before and remains present now.
Prayer also reveals the difference between concern and control. Concern can lead us toward preparation, truth, and care. Control reaches for outcomes that belong to other people, changing circumstances, or God. Naming the request helps us see which action is ours.
Bring one worry into the light today. Tell God what you fear, what you hope for, and what you need. Then listen. The answer may include an action, a conversation, a boundary, or a season of waiting. Prayer gives the burden a truthful place to go, and it gives your next choice a quieter place to begin.

Prayer gives worry somewhere truthful to go.

A Question to Carry
What am I carrying in worry that I can bring to God in prayer?

Practice This Week
Turn one recurring worry into a written prayer. Include the specific request, one thing you are grateful for, one action within your control, and one outcome you are releasing to God. Return to that prayer when the worry begins circling again.
